The Apprentice 2008

If they had opened the photos actually on the memory card then of course yes, but somehow when they transferred them to the computer they got renamed (you could see a shot of an open folder with 1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.jpg etc). I'm willing to bet they didn't just drag and drop the files, but instead relied on that software to import them...idiots

Go back and watch the series 1 of Apprentice. It's a bit rough-ish, but by ep 5/6 it picks up into the format we know. As for the quality - leagues apart. The candidates in S1 actually have a clue (for the most part) and it genuinely seems like a 'real interview/task' etc.

S4 on the other hand, well... let's say it's very entertaining. But these guys are complete idiots. Total 100% clueless n00bs.

Yeah thats what I was thinking... this is the first series that I have watched, but from the odd episodes I saw in the first few series in the beginning, this cohort seem less of the 'elite' and more of the cub scout generation :/

Saying that, even cub scouts can download photos these days....

SAS should do a U-turn and in the final he should fire everyone :D. It would send a positive signal to UK that these are NOT the type of people who warrant the £100k job.

Seems to be that out of the week weeks so far, he's got it RIGHT WRONG RIGHT WRONG. Nick and Ian deserved to go, but not that laundry woman or Simon.

Although to be fair, Simon made a very good point that he is probably the sort of person to make a good number two and not necessarily a great leader.

I said - "Simon to go" at the start of watching it.

He's completely incompetent. He loves himself too much, so much in fact that it gets in the way of the tasks at hand.

Lucinda - ok so she's not that tech savvy. But she made that clear right at the very beginning, yet Helene still insisted on making her the person in charge of all tech work.

When it came to the final meeting in front of Alan, Helene said that Lucinda was completely incompetent at the task she'd been given.

NO SUPRISE THERE... she told you that at the start you silly bint.

i thought claire was gonna be fired, the way sir alan got angry i thought he was gonna flip !!!!!!!!!!!! i dont think simon deserve to be fired, that alex is a nasty peice of work he defeintly playin some sort of a game
BE PATIENT his time will come

This season is just ridiculous with their incompetence levels reaching new lows for the Apprentice. Anyone with any real talent would never consider going on this show other than for the media exposure.

Why can't 50% of them manage to look presentable either? Is designer stubble and whole-bottle-of-product hair acceptable business attire for men nowadays?

I'd be surprised if SAS actually wants to employ any of them on a 100k contract. Complete let down this lot.
IIRC the series one winner (tim?) didnt get the full contract as he was said to be too much of a novice - he got a lot, but no the full 6 figures...

£100,000 isn't that much tbh. People make that in bonuses alone. I'd be mighty ****** though, if SAS didn't give me the £100,000, despite that being the advert!

Simon is not a a manager. Far to power crazy and unable to accept any constructive criticism or feedback. A good worker no doubt but totally out of his depth.

I wouldn't want him managing any of my employees.

Good management is 98% listening and 2% talking.

Look at how SAS makes a choice by listening to his advisers. That's why he's where he is and the contestants are not. If they could do it, they would be doing it already.

He would've been perfectly fine if he hadn't had Alex and Claire questioning his every move.

£100k is a lot, but given the conditions you'd be working under... I can kinda see what you're getting at.

I was very disappointed with Simon, I had high hopes with him.. came across like a decent bloke and someone that seemed to have offer a lot. His management skills were pretty bad though and seemed to be in a muddle most of the time. Alex and Claire were complete arses and didn't help him what so ever... gotta add I cannot stand Alex he has been a smug idiot from the word go. Ahh what a killer when they were trying to sort the photos... all they had to do was get out of thumbnail mode and they would have seen the correct file names. Tut!!

It seems like with this series everyone wants to pass the buck, take the other team that won this week. The team leader Helen ordering Lucinda to do the post processing and printing when she clearly stated she didn't want to do it from the start, and then Helen not helping Lucinda when she was stuck.. yet she went to the same training session! Had to laugh how they ended up printing on standard A4 photocopy paper and charging £15 :D lol

I found it funny they were using top flash guns/lighting, yet using a 400D with a shoddy kit lens!

Oh dear God - Claire should be fired. Still, now that Simon's gone... not entirely sure who's going to be get the job tbh. The fit Irish girl has been pretty quiet - should be good to see her in a managerial role.
