The Apprentice 2008

It seems Simon isn't doing too well, SAS described him as only 'Quite good'...

Really pleased for Lee though, he deserved it more than anyone. ;)

Sell 1 Roulette at a bottle cost of £8 for £30 = £22 profit.
Sell 1,000,000 Dual bottles at a bottle cost of £30 for £30 = £0 profit.

No wai. Look at all the fancy packaging JP Gaultier stuff has, in tins then bottles that are fancy torsos etc. You could make that packaging in volume for pence. Perfume has huge profits in it, most of the money goes on ad spend, making the scent and the packaging costs almost nothing.

Fix was in. He wanted barra boy made good like himself. That said Lee was likable enough.

I did think Lee had the edge over the other 3. Alex had little substance and didn't respond well to criticism at all and how old is he again?! Claire would have ultimately been difficult to manage. Helene...speaks for itself!! I'm surprised he didn't blurt out at the end though: "DATS WHOT AM TALK'N ABAAT!!" again

I think the point they were making was that it was all about how much profit the manufacturer makes, therefore the actual cost to make the perfume, rather than profits that distributors and vendors make.

JPG is also more than £29.95 :p.

anyone else think that SAS teamed up the 2 strongest contenders and the two weakest?
(sorry if this has already been covered here)

Yes. My thoughts were that it was Alex + other and Claire + other. Obviously with Lee winning it has to be conceded that Sir Alan thought of him as a genuine contender earlier than it appeared. I don't think Helene had any chance at all, wouldn't surprise me if she was only in the final to even up the numbers.

spot on - SAS is always a bit suspicious of people who don't make it into the board room as part of a final 3.
it doesn't give a chance to probe them for weakness.

thought this years final task was a bit easier than past years - the one on Tower Bridge (last year?) was a really bugger.

The Roulette idea was interesting...I said to me girlee that it could be extended to include a whole range of different fragrances - spin the wheel for the smelly to be used that day.

I really liked the other teams bottle concept - thought it might steal them a win despite their communication problems.

In the after show Lucinda showed she still had some obvious issues - lol.

nice to see Simon there in the after shows - he doing brilliantly by the sounds of it.
