My friend and I are arguing about how they are picked for the show. He is saying sugar sees the plans then picks the plans he wants but I'm saying it's a candidate process and the plans are whatever they have..

It's pretty clear that Lord Sugar's been told to fire more people than he would otherwise.
Of course. They took on more candidates for exactly this sort of stunt.

Definitely pre-meditated but it will be interesting to see how the remaining candidates react next week.

IMO he picks someone from a normal interview process beforehand and then just throws them on the show with a bunch of Big Brother rejects to be the ultimate winner.

I'm starting to wonder if the outcomes of the tasks are even real because the scores always seem to be so close bar the odd occasions, last nights episode it was 3300 v 3500 which I found surpringly close for such a task and the episode before they were within about £20 of each other, the chances of such close outcomes so regularly are probably extremely low.

Poor selection of women this series. Not particularly hooked on the show in general either, the format is getting quite tired (no doubt some thought that years ago) and bonus firings aren't going to fix that.

For me the things that would mix things up a bit would be perhaps
-More feedback from 3rd parties e.g. buyers, members of public as sometimes you see candidates do something 'stupid' in front of them but not 100% clear if it was just clever editing or whether the 3rd party went away thinking the same
-More 'big brother' action i.e. scenes from the house
-Splits into more than 2 teams
-Red button option to focus on a specific candidate (would require a lot more production but they must have oodles of cut footage)

Not watched this seasons, heard its quite poor

Did meet Alex mills from last year's one though lol, he was in a Cardiff bay bar playing jenga with his mate

It'll be a travesty if the red team win, but at the end of day, most profit wins and they are pushing the hard sell. Though looks like yellows lunch is a disaster.

Edit: possibly table turned. Or maybe not.
