What did we learn from this last Apprentice episode?
1) That Sanjay is a dead man walking. He was a bang average project manager despite winning this latest task, with Bianca the real star of the show thanks to her hard bargaining and determination.
2) That the man selling diamonds to Roisin clearly had the hots for her
3) That Lord Sugar clearly wants to keep Daniel in for the interview process where he will probably come unstuck in a royal fashion thanks to wild exaggerations on his CV and a business plan about to be ripped to shreds
4) That Lord Sugar does Katie a disservice by saying she brings “common sense” to the tasks – the Sunderland lass has been a star of this year’s programme but doesn’t seem in favour with his lordship
5) That Bianca is increasingly starting to fit the criteria of a future business partner. Straight talker? Check. Good seller? Check. Relatively uneducated? Check!
What does next week have in store?
Sanjay is heavily likely to go, with Lord Sugar mixing the teams up and the fact that he fires someone for “practically giving up” suggests that Mr Sood-Smith has reached the end of the line.
Indeed, only Sanjay and Daniel can’t win from this stage onwards – imagine the outcry if the latter claims victory after a succession of boardroom visits which make him a good pantomime villain at the very least.
Bianca is the new 2/1 favourite and she clearly looks nailed-on for the interview process, with Mark Wright not easy to discount even if Lord Sugar probably thinks he’s a bit too smooth (and Australian) to claim victory.
Roisin might be able to land diamonds for much cheapness although Lord Sugar has had reservations about someone who has been quiet for much of the process, with Solomon fitting the Tom criteria of two years ago in so far that he is an average salesman but someone with exciting ideas up his sleeve.
