The Apprentice - Series 9

Unless it is like Sugar said and they just glance over the business plans at a high level. Dance studio? Ok. Online estate agent? On you go. Mobile gaming developer? Sounds good.

Claude did say the pertinent info was buried on page 45 of his business plan. You think they're going to read 45 pages of drivel for every one of the thousands of applicants they get? Not a chance.

I was still surprised though when it was revealed, last week, that Jordan's business plan actually included a third partner, and that it would not be a 50 / 50 split with Lord Sugar, he still managed to get through to the final five and Myles got sacked. I do think that Jordan had been a credible candidate up to that week, it was just a pity that both he and Neil had such terrible plans.

Louisa is a gobby little mare, personally i think now it's her to lose as the Business plan seems the safest bet, and i don't think Lord Sugar is much of a risk taker. Also, she's quite hot :)

I don't know why you lot are saying she's hot. As soon as she opens her mouth, she needs a bag over her head!

It could be like that, but then tbh why they ever let someone wanting to do an online estate agency or a dance studio is madness. Neither have a place in the current market imo.

After the interviews the 2 obvious ones were chosen. Louisa having a bloody good business history was a shock tbh!

Anyone else noticed that when he walked out the interviews his mini arms were flapping like a t-Rex.

God knows none of us are perfect, but I never noticed how short his arms were until last night - completely out of proportion with the rest of him ... especially his ego :D

His interview with Claude was Apprentice gold though:

"Hi, I'm Jordan ..."
"I know who you are ..."

and the epic finale:

"You're a parasite ... this interview is terminated ..."

Would never be surprised if Neil is already working for Amstrad/Amscreen ... don't think I've ever seen a firing done with such reluctance on the part of LS.

She's OK until she talks and then she seems to sneer on the right side of her mouth and it's really unattractive looking. Plus those damn pointy elbows.

Am I the only person who thinks that referring to Claude as the "global troubleshooter" makes him sound like a hitman?

I think this too! You can imagine him pulling out some dental floss and going for a choke

My gut feeling is that all along, Jordan merely wanted to get attention for himself and his business.

I think he wanted to get on the telly.
Advertise himself and his ability (which was impressive).
Then during the interview stage, advertise to potential investors that he has a decent business idea, which is already setup and ready to launch.
Get fired.
Then wait for incoming (potential) investors.

Throughout the process, the point about 50-50 partnership is repeatedly pointed out. Someone as astute as Jordan would not have missed/ignored this. This is what he does for a living, after-all...run through business plans/ideas. I think he knew exactly what he was doing.

Out of interest, has Jordan's idea taken off yet?
Has he got investment?

I wonder whether Jordan might be the "parasite", after his comments last week about needing to bring in another partner. Maybe he is literally piggybacking on someone else's idea and only has a face to offer in the whole thing.

Nothing wrong with this.
If he can help bring value, investment, customers to a business, he will be worth his weight in gold.

Getting exposure is one of the hardest things to get for a new business and that is what this guy could give a new start-up, via this TV show.

You only have to watch a couple of series of the show to realise these guys pick your CV to pieces and check every single fact in them so it's daft to put in stuff that patently isn't true.

Candidates write this BS, to get invited to the vetting interviews.
The BS usually gets tested later in the show.
A candidate is not going to win or lose the investment, at the interview stage, based on whether or not he can complete a rubiks cube.

Hell, if it helped me get on teh show, I'd tell the producers that I have a 16" penis...at some point it may be pointed out that this is BS, but by then, I'd be "in the game" and I wouldn't get the boot just because my penis was shorter (or longer :p) than 16".

If it helps you get through the door, lie till your hearts content...about trivial things (which may include rubiks cubes and penises ;)).

Prediction for Apprentice Winner: Louisa, definitely...by a country mile.

EDIT: Well....I got my prediction completely wrong...

I'll wait and see if that happens. I'm not holding my breath.
