The audio device on my GPU buzzes loudly after I play a game

One issue I'm having with my new GPU is that closing some games causes a loud buzzing to start from the the audio device on the GPU. For each game that causes the issue, the buzzing is different. Opening any game causes the buzzing to stop.

It seems like a strange problem. I have re-installed the driver several times without any improvement.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

A buzz is generated digitally and sent over HDMI to the in-monitor speakers, where it is loudly reproduced as sound. Not coil whine nor interference.
