I think it's just the skill ceiling in BF3 for Jets was very high indeed. Pilots with good speed control could take out 80%-90% of other pilots, but the remaining 10% is another story. So it wasn't very nice for the 90% of players who were not on their level but it made it much more rewarding for those that put the time in.

DICE for one reason or another decided to make Jet's much more user friendly and Attack Helicopter much worse in BF4.

What I do like regarding the Jets in BF4 is that they do seem more balance between different sides, whereas in BF3 I used to hate the flankers.
 
win 7 and win 8.0 there is a difference but 8.1 nothing from 8.0. performance is same.

hoping the sound bug is fixed tomorrow.

Do it. I did much the same, plus a hardware bump. Its worth it imo. BF4 on my EVO and I'm always one of if not the first into the server, Just in time to watch all the snipers stealing the jets and heli's so they can parachute onto buildings 5 miles away from the nearest flag.

The thing is.... I already got BF 4 installed on my crucial m4 and for some reason, last night, people were getting in much quicker than me :( :confused: Probably my ****** router acting up again :o

PS. that golmud round was fun! Lots of helis were butt hurt :p

Attack helis are pretty good since the last patch, those zuni rockets lol, that is all!

It is just those activ radar missiles that make it a pita for helis now and of course the 6+ stinger faggots :p

Yeah that does my head in as well, the difference in the vehicles between the factions, abrams sucks so much compared to the t90 :(

Might as well go for the latest. 8.1 is a higher number therefore it must be better! :p

Damn annoying the way people do that :mad: The rage when I see people taking the little bird and then bailing just to get on flood zone roof top and then the people who take the jets just to get on hotel roof on hainan.......


Will get stuff ready for a fresh install of 8.1 anyway.

Yes they were dropping like flies :D Made a change to be in a tank whereby someone can actually drive and not just sit on the edge of the maps etc.

ps let me know if 8.1 feels any better for BF4 as its the only reason i have considered updating.

Or try start8 and modernmix with win8.1.

I haven't had the pleasure of facing you in a jet yet Nexus, but I'm sure it would probably involve stingers and activ. ;)

bc 2 helis were so fun to fly and use!

Screw the apache, the blackhawk mini gun was the one to have, that thing in hardcore was amazing! Went something like 90-100 kills with 1 death on the isla something rush map and a m8 of mine went 127-2 deaths on the valporiso rush level, should have seen the hackusations back then, makes bf 4 look crap :D :p

Helis were pretty damn easy to take out though with that tracer gun and the beast At4.
 
I'd forgotten about the tracer dart, they nerfed it at some point to make it fly really slowly IIRC which made it very difficult to hit a good heli pilot. Well it was for me anyway.
 
loved the tracer dart xD always hilarious to see the moment one landed there would be about 5 rpgs instantly launched into the sky xD and you could tracer players ;)

yes they were, just so dumb. Not everyone can be super accurate at shooting, but the ability to assess the battlefield and see where the fight is and be sensible should be doable for most..it would seem not. The intelligence of some ppl baffles me
