Their map designs are useless. On many CQ64 maps, one side will spawn in a flat field and the other side will spawn in a valley or behind a ton of rocks. Such as Golmund for example.

So you can rape one side but thanks to terrain you can't get to the other.

Langcan Dam for example - straight shot to the AA on one side, no cover for it at all - yet other side gets a huge rock to hide behind so it is totally out of line of sight!

IED?

Infrantry Electronic Detonator.

not sure if your post is serious or not but I'll answer it like it is just in case

Improvised Explosive Device. There are a bunch of "mini levolution" things on golmud railyway. All over the map are scattered clusters of artillery shells with an explosive charge on them, and a wire leading back to a detonator somewhere.

Idea is that infantry can use them to take out tanks, lure the tank driver to drive over them, then press the button and they go boom.

Unfortunately however if you fire an MBT LAW or RPG / SMAW at them they blow up, meaning you can trigger the massive explosion without going and finding the detonator.

Rogue Transmission, there's no point in an uncap since there's no cover anyway.

ay, at least the team on A/B side get a slight brow of a hill.... E side are ****** :p

and the video from the lawers (i like to make up words) perspective.... wtf?! o.O

how?! so one takes out a wall? but there's still the building to go through with no obvious clear LOS..... and firing without seeing what you're aiming at?! unless there's another lawer a bit higher up and behind with a view?

Lot of things wrong with BF4 and such, maps just part of issue.
time to kill unbalanced around the netcode so you die tof ast vs change weapons and the tunnel effect make snipers OP as you cant move out of sight of aimline.
its been true in any of the battlefield games until BC2/BF3 and now BF4.
now the game just are bad.

they fired the LAW rocket through two windows to get it in one end of the building and out of the other.

This was a pre practiced routine with prior knowledge of the spawn location.

Guys....

Just got my AMD Gaming Evolved recording software working on BF4 last night. Turns out it's basically MSI Afterburner causing the conflict between the two, so turning that off whilst gaming now until they fix it.

Now, I've done a first test video, I've got Sony Vegas for my rendering, but the quality is pants. It just didn't look that bad after the render, looked as sharp and beautiful as you would imagine, but it looks completely gash after sticking it on YouTube.

Also, how have I got Wndsr, 2BL and Sidey in the game audio but not myself lol? How can I make sure I don't record anyones voices? And also, what are the best settings to use in Sony Vegas to render the video?

Any chance of a few pointers and tips pls...check it out. And apologise for the nasty crappy skills, had more thought on recording the footage and capturing replays than ptfo'ing and being a Rambo.

So basically, we conclude that £1500 of qualifications enable you to do............................................... nothing :D

what bitrate do you guys use for bf4 rendering? all the tutorials suggest between 10.000.000 and 16.000.000 but for me to get really nice looking renders, I have to go to 24.000.000

I'd record at 50Mb/s and then encode using Handbrake to maybe 5-10Mb/s 720P for YouTube. Set the x264 preset to Medium or even slower to get the best quality.

Fun games tonight :)

That flood zone in the little bird was epic! Shame about all the stingers again though :D

edit:

hmmm, it says that I died once yet I didn't?!

edit:

From all the matches played tonight (8)

251 kills to 6 deaths (including the death which didn't happen...) :D

Last match, I died 3 times because of ****ing invisible mines!!!!
