The stream should have ended hours ago (GamesCom is closed for the day), but it's still going.

I tuned in a little late, but here's what I know: Top teams Epsilon and Meet Your Maker were playing their matches when the game server crashed. Then it crashed again. Then there was a problem with the stream and that went down. The stream came back up and the commentators were visibly spent as they'd been commentating for 12 hours straight. They introduced the final match between the two teams, but about halfway through that game, Epsilon stood up and conceded the match. And that was that.

The commentators didn't know what to make of it. The chat seemed to think the game server crashed again, but who knows.

The stream is actually still going, they're doing one more match with two other teams for who knows what. Enjoy.

Oh Dear Matros lmao!

"One of the things that we're learning as we make the digital transformation is that we don't need to guess what players want any more. For the longest time we had to just copy what everybody else did and the first opportunity to find out whether you got it right or not was when you saw the game on the shelf," he said. "Now, we're getting better at listening. We haven't always been great listeners, the launch of battlefield 4 told us how **** we were, but we're getting better, we had to to keep the lawsuits away and stop people from never buying another EA game again, and what that's telling us is that people want choice. They want decent games, not just a clone of some other game on the market. There isn't a one-size-fits-all any longer. We've got to build proper games again, not just re hash any old ****"

He has a point however. They are getting better. I'd have laughed if you'd said 6 months ago EA was going to push back Hardline into next year and not release any fps at the same time as COD.

They must be really desperate for pre orders.

Just makes you wonder how badly ****ed up it would have been if it had launched in October. Still at least it has forced them to bring the CTE changes into BF4, instead of just pushing them back until Hardline was released.

So you think that Hardline will have a stable release then?

As for

A load of crap. DICE had a lot of creative talent before they sold themselves to EA.

I tell you what if they are listening then release mod tools. Let's see when that will happen. EA have always chased COD sales and they promised not to turn BF into an annual (milk the consumer) franchise and we know what is happened to that. :p

Business exists purely to serve customers. Business does nothing (or at least very little) to understand what the customer wants. Business suddenly realises something is wrong.

Just reiterating how stupid it is to ban swearing, in an 18+ game, where the multiplayer sound clips mostly contain at least one swear word and go off constantly (let alone the single player dialogue).

I don't think admin cares, they just use it as an excuse.

And it is themembers, no suprise there, they banned me for shooting down their heli with my MAA.

Whomever suggested the switch to 32bit to avoid the memory page leak (I believe it was 1kiwi?), thank you - game runs much more smoothly now!

I've actually been joining BF4 allot lately. Can't wait for the net code changes. Hopefully end game will bring more inf oriented maps.

the funny thing is the team manager said amd were crap or something maybe related and was sacked from Epsilon . maybe thats why because of the issues.

bf4 wont ever be a big comp game the movements animations are fluid enough fast enough or precise enough. also too much random in the game regardless of what they do. they can throw money at it but its never going to be cod 4 or cs.
