Battlefield: Hardline is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Visceral Games in collaboration with EA Digital Illusions CE and published by Electronic Arts. It is due for release on October 21, 2014
Gameplay
Battlefield: Hardline features a whole new variety of gameplay that breaks away from the traditional Battlefield game modes. The new game modes are Heist Mode, Rescue Mode, Hotwire Mode and Bloodmoney Mode.[1] The focus of the game has been shifted to police rather than the military background that has spanned the series up to now. Players will have access to various military grade weapons and vehicles as well as having police equipment such as tasers and handcuffs.
Plot
The plot revolves around young Miami police detective Nick Mendoza, who is caught up between corrupt cops and a variety of criminals.

its BF4...

everything is the same... hud graphics options... cant see why it would be any different to bf4 in terms of performance.

Well, its not developed by DICE and is not Battlefield 4!

Have you played it?

I did last night and basically all they have changed is some of the skins and and weapon / character models... the team are using BF4 recourses... even most of the hud is just recycyled BF4 items...

Even the graphical menus etc are all from BF4 just moved around a bit

How does one use these? :p:o:D

Well truth be told ive not had chance to test them if they work. In theory they should. You need to try out the benchmarking command and see if it's present in Hardline. If it's not, then neither tool will work. So bring up the console and type perfoverlay.framefilelogenable 1 and hit enter. Play for a few seconds, then bring up the console again, press the down arrow, delete the 1 and change it to a 0 and hit enter. Now go to your my docs hardline folder and see if you have a file there that can be opened using those two tools.

perfoverlay.framefilelogenable 1 is there

Done a few minutes test to see if it works.

Opened the file using FLA Calculator

Yeah, manged to get a couple of rounds in last night in between the end of the EA conference and the start of the Ubisoft one. Switched it straight to Mantel and same gfx options etc that I run in BF4 and performance seemed fine, basically the same as BF4 on my rig. Even copied over my user.cfg so the overlays etc came up.

Though obviously at the time not many people had made it that far yet as the servers where pretty quiet but EA's back end was getting hammered.

Definitely just feels like a BF4 expansion pack at the moment, rather than a spin off or even full game in it's own right. But still seemed fun and I hope they do more to the UI etc to differentiate it a bit more and make it it's own game. With the Dead Space guys doing it, hopefully they'll put out a decent SP campaign.

If only there was an ingame benchmark, the problem with not having one is as soon as you post results that people are not expecting they just don't believe them.
