Has anyone else seen this, I am all for releasing names and pictures of people on these lists but I was quite surprised at the BBC of all media broadcasters to release this information.

It is about time we started to see this kind of thing, do any of you apologists recognise yourselves?

The BBC said:
Approximately 850 people from the UK have travelled to support or fight for jihadist groups in Syria and Iraq, say the British authorities.

This BBC News database is the most comprehensive public record of its kind, telling the story of over 100 people from the UK who have been convicted of offences relating to the conflict and over 150 others who have either died or are still in the region.

Indeed but if they are in any way shape or form a threat to the uk then they need to be arrested and charged. But that needs to be done with absolute proof and not some made up claim.

There have been a few attacks on our own soil lately. Liz Truss wanted WhatsApp to drop its encryption off the back of the Westminster attack. It was then when I started to get suspicious of the state, citing the Westminster attack as a reason to further their agenda of privacy erosion i.e. 1984. These guys are indeed being used as pawns (even though I'm Pawnless). What's next? The internet-ready smart TVs (with webcams) will become Orwellian telescreens phoning home to the state. Yup I can see it happening.

It's all in the public domain anyway, you just need to look at court records.

Ironically I doubt the BBC are publishing it as the sort of name and shame that Arazi and co are thinking it is, rather just a newsworthy piece.
