So am I wasting my time waiting for something else to appear to compete with the Samsungs for gaming or is this the one to go for?
Thank you (and Legend) for providing prices.ok next question is there any way i can run the benq side by side with my acer so i can see the difference and take photos etc
i have no idea how to do it but they r both 1920x1080
i know my gfx card has 2xdvi outputs
something about cloning springs to mind
Just received mine 5 minutes ago. Will be setting it up later today and see what I make of it!
So what is the diference between the benq bl2400pt and ew2420? The bl2400pt has a nice stand at least. What else is the difference?
The only thing I can imagine is the ew2420 is for home users hence maybe better for gaming and the bl2400pt is for business so not so good at gaming??
That means the only difference is the extra HDMI sockets you get with the EW2420 then I guess.
Oh and the BL2400PT has 1 displayport instead of HDMI.
The EW2420 also has 5 USB ports (four down, one up). Hilariously they excluded the 'game' preset from the BL2400PT - what a shame. If you want a horrendously sharp and oversaturated image with crappy contrast you'll need to select 'movie' or 'photo' mode instead.
Presuming they use the same panel, which I believe they do, the BL2400PT would probably be better if you wanted a decent stand and non glossy bezel. I also think I read that the BL2400PT has a full anti-glare coating rather than the semi anti-glare on the EW2420 - but don't quote me on that, my memory is getting a little hazy with the amount of reviews and comments I've read.so which is better EW2420 or BL2400PT?
The cheapest IPS monitor you should consider as far as I'm concerned, is the Dell U2311H. It's only 23" though, but is pretty much unanimously given praise. So I'm wondering whether this Benq is a good buy (it certainly is for the price), or whether I should save up some more and splurge on a bigger IPS monitor instead.
