The BenQ EW2420: Too good to be true?

ok next question is there any way i can run the benq side by side with my acer so i can see the difference and take photos etc

i have no idea how to do it but they r both 1920x1080

i know my gfx card has 2xdvi outputs

something about cloning springs to mind
Thank you (and Legend) for providing prices.

As for the dual monitor, you do just as you say, clone them. I don't have an ATI card but it should be something similar to this:

Just a superquick update: The stars and tracer fire lighting up the pitch dark sky on Arma2: Op Arrowhead is just out of this world awesome. I've never seen such fantastic tracers burning a hole in my retina on a game before. :p

So what is the diference between the benq bl2400pt and ew2420? The bl2400pt has a nice stand at least. What else is the difference?

The only thing I can imagine is the ew2420 is for home users hence maybe better for gaming and the bl2400pt is for business so not so good at gaming??

I had the understanding that the stand and frame were the only differences (both of which I prefer on the BL2400PT) but the EW2420 is more expensive? £170.69 compared to £165.94 on the same reputable large etailer.

Question that I cannot seem to find the answer to.

The BenQ website says that this has

"Input Connector D-sub/DVI-D/2*HDMI 1.3/ headphone jack line in"

2 HDMI, great, headphones great.

Now, the "line in"... can I run my PC in via DVI and run the sound out of the sound card to the monitor through the line in?

Then obviously have the sound running out of the headphones to my speakers, this way I can leave my XB360, PS3 and pc all plugged with the sound coming through my speakers without messing with cables.

Thanks,

The EW2420 also has 5 USB ports (four down, one up). Hilariously they excluded the 'game' preset from the BL2400PT - what a shame. If you want a horrendously sharp and oversaturated image with crappy contrast you'll need to select 'movie' or 'photo' mode instead.

But as it's the same monitor can't you just mess about with the settings and find the same colour scheme?

so which is better EW2420 or BL2400PT?
Presuming they use the same panel, which I believe they do, the BL2400PT would probably be better if you wanted a decent stand and non glossy bezel. I also think I read that the BL2400PT has a full anti-glare coating rather than the semi anti-glare on the EW2420 - but don't quote me on that, my memory is getting a little hazy with the amount of reviews and comments I've read.

So I'm wondering whether this Benq is a good buy (it certainly is for the price), or whether I should save up some more and splurge on a bigger IPS monitor instead.
The cheapest IPS monitor you should consider as far as I'm concerned, is the Dell U2311H. It's only 23" though, but is pretty much unanimously given praise.

If you want a 24" IPS, then it's usually a choice between the Dell U2410 or the HP ZR24w.

If you can afford, I'd go with an IPS monitor, they'll be a lot better than anything else.

Hello every one. I specifically signed up here to help those who want to know about the new BenQ series.

Check out my review which includes PixerPixAn results and calibrated settings/results:

To the OP: How is the backlight on your unit compared to mine (which is terrible and the main downfall of the unit)?
