Currently the best for my needs is FXAA. It does a good job and hardly impacts upon the performance. Doesn't look that great in screenshots sometimes though.

Ultra SMAA using RadeonPro looks just as good as 4xMSAA but performance hit of 2x MSAA.

FXAA for me mostly is enough if it isnt then 2-4x aa. I dont have a 6xx series so cant try that new AA method for them cards which i hear is nice.

This isnt as true anymore mate with titles like sleeping dogs and a few others i cannot remember lol

SSAA is the best method for pure quality but also the most expensive.

In fact I think it is actually no longer available on most driver builds.

Some games allow you to use it though; trine2 comes to mind which looks absolutely stunning at 4xssaa but it will cripple most rigs.
