I've never heard anybody else have it but this Doris used to do me an Uber Colly cheese & one day I added the bacon, Kin lovely stuff & can't be beaten.

Funny you should say that; I recently made a huge cauli' cheese with two large cauli's and loads of different cheeses in the sauce but added small pieces of smoked streaky bacon ....... very nice.
