The best film/movie of year 2015?

Best, or favorite?

I'd say the movie I most enjoyed this year is Max Mad, for a couple of hours of 'brain at the door' fun. Its not going to win any awards for being a spectacular piece of cinema history though.

I've not watched many current movies this year though. I tend to avoid the cinema, too many 'other people' in it :p.

Black Mass was my film of the year. Inherent Vice runner up.

I found it was mostly a disappointing year for film although I'm still yet to see Bridge of Spies and The Martian.
 
Either The Martian or Sicario. JW and TFA were good films, sure, but the first two I mentioned were better.

The only thing I don't like about Matt Damon is that in every film he's been in recently it seems like he's playing Matt Damon. The film itself though was great.
 
Not an awful lot stands out to be fair but Whiplash certainly had a fantastic energy about it as well as sound editing, although there's no way you could appreciate it as well on the small screen unless you have a solid sound system.

Sicario is another one that had a lot of energy bubbling under its surface with you not knowing when it was going to lose its cool and just explode in your face, dragged on in places but cinematography was also fantastic in it so pretty memorable experience.

Martian just felt too small scale for my liking, certainly good fun and off humour but it lacked that grandeur factor of space. Jurassic World failed to deliver but fun so long as you ignore some bits and I'm not going to mention Star Wars as that's a can of worms right now!
