An amazing moment and totally unexpected. Dragonblight. All the WoW cutscenes are great.

Dawn of War too. Amazing watching that for the first time.

yeah that was amazing, happily questing through DB then all of a sudden, a wild cutscene appears. hadn't had that sort of thing before so had no idea it was coming. was really awesome to watch. best wow scene though has to be the 4x pack you get in dragon soul lol. deathwing cutscenes ***.

BUT console based, gonna have to say ff13. there was one in there somewhere where they were portaling back into cocoon after the pulse chapter, right into some sort of motorbike race and they fly in on bahamut's back (i think, not seen it in a while...either way they were flying on some monster) and all sorts of destruction starts.
 
I thought the opening to Mass Effect 2 was one of the best I've seen in ages. The attack happens unexpectedly and I really liked the interactive element to it as well when rescuing Joker. I was blown away at the part where all the noise is suddenly silenced by the hull breach, so you just had the silence of space.

I haven't played all the way through ff13 but played some of the early chapters a bit and I would say that any cutscene created by Square is a beautiful thing to behold.

Perhaps when I've finished with Skyrim I should do ff13 all the way through in readiness for the next one!
