The single most annoying thing now, however, is that the old light guns don't work on LCD TVs :'( Such a shame!

All of the above, bar ISS/GT (where you are better off with their latest versions), are still worth playing today.

I'll mention Vib Ribbon as well, as it may not be absolutely the best rhythm action game ever, but was still lots of fun, has a crazy standard soundtrack, and the ability to use your own CDs to generate tracks was a great addition (if variable in success).

I think Ridge Racer R4 was the pinnacle, technically speaking, it was astonishing, looked like a pc game (at the time). I also remember it being a lot of fun.

I remember the graphics being somehow better than the GT games at the time too. They used some pretty smart shaders in that game.

Was always a big PC gaming fan but couldn't argue with the great selection of JRPGs the PS got.
