** THE BEST USB HUB EVER?? SAMSUNG PORT DUPLICATOR ** - BUY NOW!!

I just ordered a pair of them, at that price I'm more than willing to risk just getting the USB hub part of it working under Windows 7 64bit :)

The fact it's got a pair of USB ports that can supply up to 1amp is very unusual in usb hubs*, and very handy :) (I've got a scanner that I've pretty much had to retire as it's usb powered and only my Dell Monitor, or plugging it into the motheroard could reliably power it).
If I can get the sound and serial ports working that's a bonus, let alone the video.

I do feel cheeky using free shipping for it though.

*Many of which have a PSU that can't even supply the full 500ma per port (I've got a 7 port hub that has a 2500ma adaptor, and 4 port ones with 1500ma adaptors).

I also ordered 2, but can't get them to work on Windows 7 32bit?

I installed as per instructions, rebooted, plugged in the hub and got a BSOD?

Anyone else having issues like these?

I installed one on a Windows 7 Pro 64 bit rig earlier and apart from it stopping the system restarting (for some reason my P5K Premium doesn't like some things in the front usb port on my case), it appears to have installed the drivers for the sound/hub without using the disc.

I'm not going to bother installing the video/serial/lan drivers at the moment as I don't need them :) (I got it mainly for the high power usb hub).

Great price, what's the dimensions though?

About 270mm long (300 with the power/usb plugged in), by about 80mm deep (not including cables) by about 30mm high.

There isn't actually much spare space on the length as all the ports are in a row.
It's a big beastie for a USB hub for a normal computer, but it's pretty solidly built, and is intended to go under a laptop to help the laptops cooling when used on a desk for a long time.

OCUK - I don't really think you should buy a new batch - They don't work with Win7 64 Bit. Windows 8 is the last version of windows that will run 32 Bit. J/s

Looking at the drivers and matching the resolution specs to other documentation, it looks like this device is using the Magic Control Technology Corp. 'Trigger' chipset. The bad news is that only the later 'Trigger+' chipset seems to have 64 bit drivers.

Ahh... oh well.

I was going to get 5 of these as a trial replacement on terminals I currently have.

I had seen the Microsoft's Multipoint Server 2011 was on for download over at...

http://www.microsoft.com/multipoint/

I hoped these would have been supportedin Multipoint.
However, I'd really need to run 64bit on the server due to the extra ram requirement.
So was hoping for a bargin there. lol

Still, I'm sure 32bit users with vmware/virtualpc can make use of it.
They allow you to take control of the devices once plugged in and you could fullscreen the virtualised OS on the extended desktop it provides.
Great for people wanting to give a cheap PC for their kids/family members. Yet providing the power of your own desktop.

... I might pop in the shop tomorrow and get one anyway, just to check for support in WMS2011... just in case :D

That WMS looks epic Sagum, thanks for the recommendation. Will be investigating this, seems like a better solution to existing multi workstation platforms
