The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth - thread

What do people think about pills and secret rooms in rebirth? Currently finding that a majority of pills are either neutral or bad and that secret rooms are a pain to find and often don't reward me with anything especially useful.

Trap rooms are also a little weak. The game seems to depends a little more on synergies (and brimstone or dark bum).

But when you get a good synergy it tends to be very powerful and make the rest of the run easy.

Nice one. Dark boy was one of the toughest achievements in the original game imo. Did you get the full range brim with Azazel when you picked it up? I've not seen brim at all yet, although had a run with lil brim who's awesome. :D

Yeah when you pick up brim it's the full range.

Edit: Another OP run, with both Brimstone and Dark Bum. Lol.

My god some of the challenges are hard, have you tried Cat got your tongue or solar system yet? bloody nightmare!

Just managed to head trauma which was hard enough :eek:

I wouldn't worry about it. The real end goal is True Platinum God. :D

If anyone wants to know how to unlock the hidden character and what it does:

You need to die as the following characters in the following ways.

Isaac in the Basement to a Mulliboom
Magdalene in the Caves to your own bomb explosion
Judas in the Depths to Mom's foot
Azazel in Sheol to Satan's second form

I believe the deaths have to occur in consecutive games, so you'll want to start with Isaac and keep restarting until you get a Mulliboom.

If you do all this you will unlock The Lost, who starts with flying and gets free Devil Room deals but will die from a single hit regardless of upgrades, Soul hearts or Sin Hearts held.
 
So there's a way you can cheese the game and make it stupidly easy. Pretty boring though.

Lets put it this way, on floor 1 I was 1 shotting the boss.
 
Meh thats sad, I shall refrain from using it, I managed platinum god without using a single exploit and was a very rewarding experience :cool:

The amount of screaming when I'd get hit chasing mama's boy was probably scary for my neighbours :D
