Nice shots, i like number one the best, looks like he has a bit of an attitude, just like his wife in shot number 2 :D

hes actually a really nice duck (i know a lot of ducks it seems). i was talking to a girl who works in a cafe around the area (grand canal dock, dublin) and apparently he sometimes walks in for a nose about, has a little chat to a few customers and then wanders out again. a real character :)

all the above were taken handheld, so apologies for any sneaky iso noise. shooting a moving seagull at 300mm with a non IS lens can be tricky, especially when you've never tried it before :D

Nice shots, I find that shooting at eye level with the subjects in wildlife shots generally makes for better pictures, with ducks this inevitably means getting down and dirty on the ground which you may not be comfortable with in public.

Can I please open one of these threads and actual see a hot piece of lady instead of frigging wildlife!
I am sick of having my hopes torn down every time!!!

hahaha

You got some nice crisp shots there friend but the location is spoiling the whole image really.
Might wanna go into someplace more green n nature like for a more pleasing image?

Only to nit pick theres nothing wrong with what you have captured.

i like the 'urban wildlife' but i know what you mean. I tend to take photos as im wandering about my daily commute etc, hence all the urban stuff. that said, im going to be heading up the grand canal when the swans have their chicks. all aboard for cuteness!

ive been asked to do some portraits of a friends pet rats, and have convinced her to take them to the park on a nice sunny day so i can photograph them in in the grass at their level.

I know its not their natural environment etc, but i thought it would make for a fun shoot. especially because the two rats are very sociable and have known me since they were young, giving me the opportunity to photograph them exploring and whatnot, rather than running away from me :D
