Its a southern thing, i watched these old fellas in Devon once and they were putting blanks all over the shop

I've grown up playing dominos as my dad helps runs a leaue and has played for 30+ years.

Blanks are treated as their own number and can't go any where. First time I've heard of such nonsense too ;p

God, I haven't played dominoes for years. Used to play with a double 9 set with my grandparents all the time when I was a kid.

But yeah, as has already been mentioned above, blank=0 and as such can only be placed on other blanks

Blanks have always been used as a specific number (0) when I've played.

Using blanks as wild cards may be a variation of the game to reduce the amount of chappin' and produce quick games.
