***The Blood of Dawnwalker***

Downgraded how?
She was taking potions to boost her magical abilities. The original Ciri was way too overpowered for this.

Though it was just a single cinematic trailer so nothing's concrete but it did seem to suggest a downgrade on the magical front atleast.

Anyways this is getting offtopic. Roll on Dawnwalker.

Is it possible she's spent years becoming a Witcher and her lack of magical practice has atrophied her abilities? Or maybe she burned up her magic like Yennifer did?

Dawnwalker does have definite Witcher vibes, with a bit of Kingdom Come on the side.
All comes down to gameplay, though.

Character Introduction: Brencis
Born in the Roman Empire under the name Caeso Burrienus Laurentius, AD 131, to a noble family who owned massive latifundia, Brencis was destined for greatness. He joined the rank of Senators and quickly rose to the top of Roman officialdom, with ambitions to become the next consul. He was on the right track to make it happen... if only he was not turned into a vampire. In a blink of an eye, he fell from the very top of the social ladder to its very bottom – but his hunger for power remained.

Interesting, so its actually set on Earth, for some reason I just assumed it was a fantasy world

Dawnwalker Will Have Serious Consequences for Both Action and Inaction, Says Dev

Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz (Creative Director): Dawnwalker is not going to be a game where it’s a pure sandbox, where you’re just focusing on the gameplay. We do want you to experience these moments with the world of the characters and the emotions that these situations can evoke, and so on and so forth. But, at the same time, you are looking for ways of maximising freedom as you do.

Daniel Sadowski (Design Director): In our game, we want the world to be dynamic. We don’t want it to be static, like waiting for the player all the time. So, both action and inaction in Dawnwalker have serious consequences, and that’s also how we structured the quests, so that it can all be showcased while you play the game.

Call me interested, I always did find the story in the Witcher with not all vampires being evil and in-fact one of the ancient races, was a pretty cool idea. Obviously this is set in fantasy Romania and not a Andrzej Sapkowski world. Also your main character has a sort of Detlaff looking kind of vibe.

i just watched another trailer (Xbox one) and it does feel rather good

Quite enjoy a good eastern European romp - makes a change from western story telling too, particularly the humour.
Watching with interest

Will keep an eye on this one, although i don't like the idea of being timed, having 22 days to rescue your family.

Also heard some complaints about the camera being too zoomed in on the character, any thoughts on that ?

Liked the look of it on the whole, playing at night as the vampire looked a bit underwhelming though, blood sucking looked poor and so did the unarmed combat, hopefully this improves by the time it is released.
