What a brilliant film.

Went into this not knowing anything about it but Denzel Washington is my favourite actor ever and immediatley knew this was going to be awesome.

It was a little slow throughout but the ending was fantastic.

The whole post-apocalyptic scenery was epic. Obviously computer generated (looked like most of the backgrounds were) and over processed which suited the film.

I highly recommend this to anyone who is having doubts about watching it.

I really would have liked to have seen what caused the chaos though, be it at the start of the film or in a flashback. It's obvious what caused it though when you watch it but i'm not going to spoil it :)

Ohh and Mila Kunis is just super hot.

Wish I shared your passion for it, I love my post apocalypse stuff but couldn't help to feel disappointed with this.

May I agree with you on the fact that Denzel Washington is an amazing actor and therefore many people do have a liking to him, like myself!

The story for me was extremely slow and boring at times, but that's to be expected of this film, in my opinion anyways. However, the way the film was put together, as it progressed towards the ending, it kept making me think otherwise.

It's a well constructed film, definitely worth a watch.

I loved it, although the twist was given away too easily and too early in the film.

And yes Mila Kunis is hot, too hot to have survived very long in a post-apocalyptic lawless wasteland intact for long, but hey, it's hollywood.

My short review from a few weeks back –
well what a disappointment, a promising start and then a Mad Max wannabe. What a hollow film, without Denzil Washington it would have been complete rubbish.

This was the consensus of opinion from four people watching it.

If you ignore the first 30 mins of the film which imo are dire its an ok film. Denzel is a good actor but i had to watch the film in 2 halfs

I thought it was brilliant. Really well filmed, fantastic atmospheric processing, and Denzel as always was on top form.

You all should also watch The Road, not much action but what an awesome film. I loved The Book of Eli :)

Didn't think much of The Road. I usually blub like girl whenever anything to do with children in distress is on the TV but not with The Road.

Book of Eli was verygood IMO. Whilst watching the film I felt like I had seen it before but then realised it was because to me the film looks like Fallout 3. The colours, the fight scenes, the broken flyovers etc. all felt like the film could have been based in the Fallout 3 world.

I googled my thoughts and theres been many a discussion about it.

It didn't fully live up to the promise it made, but I enjoyed it and I thought it had some fresh ideas. Denzel was good as usual.
