Support for *.webm would be nice too. Considering that the forum is based around people with an interest in high-end hardware and other such technology I'm surprised that the forum software is as outdated as it is.

Is no worse than bouncy bits gifs, yet not a word is said about that video/it wasn't removed.

You either have a hard and fast rule of 'family friendly forum' and stick to it or you don't, but you don't have varying standards across all forums otherwise you just end up with some odd moderated areas and others aren't and what appears to be double standards.
