Why don't my weather icons look like that though (never seen those icons before for any weather condition)! :( They look like a skin pack from snowstorm weather widget
 
This is my current wallpaper on my new laptop, quite strange getting used to Windows again after using OSX for the past couple of years.

I had a look on the windows live gallery for that gadget but it wasn't listed so I just dll it from some other site and the version number isn't even listed in the options menu.........

Could you link me to the latest version or upload the gadget please? :p
 
How anyone could like this on their desktop is beyond me it looks like they made it for the phone and tablets and ported it to pc.

Why couldn't they just keep the original layout with the taskbar. I really hope they have this option as that is the only time i will upgrade to windows 8 when its released.

It does, the button (correct term ?) on he left with the pretty picture is the one you are looking for :)

I can see the need for windows 8 in tablets and other touch orientated devices but for a desktop it's just strange and ugly for my tastes, maybe in time we will grow to love it.
