Well just bought some T-cut color fast. See if this stuff will sort out the light scratch on the ST bumper as its doing my head in lol.

Got some triple wax car shampoo as well to clean the car first as instructed on back of the T-cut.

I had a couple of bird droppings on my car which must have been on for no more than a few days. Got the car hand-washed and residue, sort like white circular scratch scale marks are still present on the paint work. They show up even more in sun light. Now I tried warm water and rubbing it and there absolutely no difference. I then went and bought the Auto Glym bird dropping remover wipes and they have also made no difference.

Is the paintwork buggered? Or is there any other products which could I try?

Had plenty of bird etching on mine, had to sand and buff them.

Sounds like the acid in the droppings has etched the paintwork. I've got tonnes of these all over the E60. They can be hand-polished out but it's time intensive and hard work.

Much less painful would be to machine polish them out but obviously there are cost/skill factors involved with this.

What kind of car do you have? If it's got soft paint then it will be easier to hand polish.

Have a look at Optimum No Rinse, Begbie. There is loads about it on the forum - no need for a hose!

Simply go to your local jet wash to blast off any nasty stuff if it's bad, then wash your car with literally half a bucket of water and some ONR :)

Looks pretty good, have you used it yourself? I assume it will get rid of all the dirt before drying, not wanting to scratch the paint work.

Does anybody think this might be worth a punt (the cheesy video aside)?

Very nearly impulse bought it along with my weekly shop, but I thought I'd get the thoughts of the experts first :).

Looks like cheap crap, sure there is a thread on DW.

Guys, what ths crack with AG Super Resin Polish?

I have some I bought years ago when i owned my Focus. Used it once, but didn't notice much improvement, mainly because it was a silver car, so no matter what I did, it look "okay". So I havent really used it since.

My new car is dark grey in colour and I've noticed it has some light swirl marks in it. The Focus had these, but they show up more on grey than they did on silver. Would a coat of SRP help diminish these marks, and if so, whats the best technique to apply it?

The car currently has one coat of Collonite 476, however after the recent rain, there are still some water marks on it. Ideally I'd like to give the car another good wash, some SRP to help the swirls, then a coat or two of Collonite to protect it.

I would've thought you would need to remove the wax off the paintwork before using it to its full affect, but someone will be along to correct this soon.

SRP works as a filler more than a corrector so should help mask the swirls. The main issue is making sure the paint is perfectly clean before polishing as this is when the swirls happen, that and washing intially.

It could be worth investing in a clay bar, which will help get rid of all the crap on your paint work.

Well spent 4 and half hours cleaning my car today! Enjoyed every second of it!

I was only going to T-cut the scratch but ended up doing the whole car! My arm is bloody knackered now! I definitely need to get my hands on a clay bar though. Took me ages to get most of the tar spots off... Really happy with the end results though.

Mind the wonky number plate, i messed up with the drill :p

After getting so close to the paintwork today i now know it is in need of some TLC around some edges as the lacquer as started to peel. Will have to look into that another day though.

Looks tidy. Not sure about the random rear window stickers. Can you fit the facelift front and rear lights?

I could but i prefer the pre-facelift light, i don't like how the facelift lights stick out.

Ah you aint seen the chuck norris alarm warning sticker :D
