Can anyone recommend something to get rid of interior plastic scuffs? Is there anything better than just dressing them as this can just make them shiny and slightly sticky I've found in the past.

Otherwise it's plastidip time!

Anyone got experience of this polisher? Looking for a rotary machine sub £50 :)

Yeah it's a good machine for the money, go for it.

I've got that — it's good for the money, does an excellent job.

However, the button that locks the spindle (so you can change heads) fell out on mine, along with the spring, so it takes a bit of fiddling to change heads.

Other than that, I've got no complaints.

Is there an easy way to remove/hide a paint scuff on the boot and bumper?
I've got a blue paint mark on the boot(metal) and rear bumper(plastic) of my black car. only noticed it this morning when giving the car a first wash, will be going out to wax and polish it later when the suns moved away.

Would i be able to remove/hide the blue paint with black chipstick and wax?
Washing and claying removed a little bit but it's still very noticable.

Ordered clay bar on eBay last night, weather has done a complete U-Turn :( lol

Whats the difference between the Poorboys black hole stuff and the AG SRP?
Would they both effectively do the same thing?

Both are fillers for hiding scratches.

AGSRP is an all purpose filler which can be used on all paint colours. It also has a slight cut to remove some marks.

Black hole is a glaze not polish. It is a filler specifically for dark paint.

If you need to remove fine swirl marks then go for a cutting polish (followed by black hole if it's dark paint) rather than SRP. If you're happy hiding the swirl marks then SRP will do a good job, however it will not protect for long if that's not covered with a glaze/sealant.

Some stupid **** was painting near where my dad parked his car. The car now has flecks of paint over the front bonnet bumper and lights. Most annoying.

You're doing it wrong then.

Apply heat at a close but safe distance to bumper trims, gradually heat up until the oils come back to the surface, wipe over and then treat (AG Bumper care in my case).

Great, for a couple of weeks. Now its fading again. I fail to see how heating up plastic with a heat gun can be done 'wrong'

Just after a wash, before drying...

Was my first every wash using the 2 bucket method.

Will do!

Need to get a new drying towel. Hand sized microfibre towels are a bit of pain!

Will also be buying some SRP and wax at the end of the month, ready for the better weather to hit us :)

I got my Megs dring towel from Halfords (they do their own for a couple of quid less too). Halfords own is just as good, i bought my brother one for Christmas and he loves it!

so, how are people planning on cleaning their cars during the hose pipe ban - annoyingly I didn't get a chance to clean mine last weekend and the ban has kick in here :( Guess its time to wash out the watering can!
