What pad and compound did you use?

Auto Finesse stuff from a kit, used the orange pad with the Restore compound for the most cut we could achieve :)

Great job!

You're not far either...you can come do mine too :D

Thanks :D I'll drop you a message on trust and we can organize something :) we'll do the Jag first to make sure we're confident as I'd really rather not mess up you car! lol.

I think Saturday calls for a machine polish on mine too, been meaning to do it anyway after getting the rear quarter resprayed a while back. Nice relaxing day compared to the usual :p

We'd happily take a look at it for you if you wanted :) Probably best we do the Jag first though to make sure we're definitely doing it right as I wouldn't want to **** up a member's car!

Wow, really? That'd be great, thanks!
I hear Japanese paint is pretty soft so I'd be willing just to take it easy and see if it can be touched up a little. Most of the car is OK, but I notice the boot lid and bonnet are quite swirled. being dark grey doesn't help either.

Let us know how it goes! And I can guarantee holding a DA all day is not relaxing, my shoulder aches rather a lot :p

Sounds good :) We can just use the refinement pad, test on inconspicuous areas and see what the best combo is so we can get the best result :)

My detailer reccomended Art D'Shine Nano sealant the other day, to be used as a quick detailer as well as a sealant. It's a spray that you just wipe on and buff off at the same time.

I had not expected anything other than to remove the surface dust as i had done 20 miles since i had washed the car, but WOW....it added some serious pop to the car. The car has got no proper products on other than this, but now looks and feels amazing!

Never been so impressed with a product, far better than SRP etc and easier to apply too

I think I'm going to give mine another machine-polish with the Silverline rotary. It'll probably look no bloody different being silver but hey ho.

Where did you get it from? I'm looking for a quick detailer as mine's running low and yours looks a decent replacement!

Obsidian Detailing, which is the detailer i work with. it's £7 for a 250ml spray bottle which is handy to keep in the boot 500ml is £12 and 1 lt. £22.

It goes a very long way though! This cossy has about 40 layers of it now :o :o
and he swears by it.

I could try and get hold of some by sunday if you wanted?

Cheers, email me if you do manage to meetup with him. I'll pick it up a lot quicker than a post on there :) I'd be after a spray bottle to keep in the car ideally.

Are there any good leather wipes out there? Ones that clean but don't dry out the leather? Just in this heat and driving home after training my seats are getting a bit sweaty :p

Looks excellent!

I use Collonite 476 as a wax, would this product need to be applied onto a fresh clearcoat surface to achieve the correct bonding, E.g no wax and freshly clayed/washed?

Also, how do I get some as threads on DW that say you just have PM some guys to get some and you say to contact Obsidian direct? Found their FB so will have to send over a message and see if he can post some.

Cheers.
