I was just wondering if theres a difference between paying a bit more for one... I've got one the missus bought years ago called 'Challenge' - can't find anyother info on it, and it's next to useless :p

Just washed the GTR before going to the football, sun came out, covered in swirl marks :(

Blaming my brother for using my washmit last weekend and not cleaning it after well enough.

Guess I can not be so OCD about it now until after this Winter then get a full pro detail polish in the Spring.

Zoomed in phone picture, look at the bonnet, its that bad from a distance...

The missus picked up some Turtle wax Wash and Shine shampoo earlier but it doesn't say it's for pressure washers. I've only just got my first PW and didn't realise that you could get PW only shampoos...

It's a diluted watery shampoo as opposed to a creamy shampoo.

Any particular brand or do they all do the same sort of job? I need to do a quick wash this weekend so if I pick some Snow foam up today can I just use that and then rinse for the time being?

I found the GT-R paint to be absolutely terrible for this, it's so soft. My red one was awful after only a few months, despite me being very careful and the same was true of my friends red one too. Only my white one seemed to be immune but that's simply because the pearl white doesn't show swirls very easily.

I think we're on the wrong page :)

What I meant was is it ok to use normal car wash shampoo which doesn't specifically say it is for pressure washers in the detergent bottle which attaches to the lance?

Nope, normal shampoo has wax in it. You'll get an annoying smeary windscreen afterwards.

If that doesn't both you then yeah you can use whatever yo uwant in the bottle.

if its just the windscreen thats smeary i could just use the windscreen wipers after though?

well i used the shampoo in the foam bottle on the lance and pressure washered on and rinsed and it's left loads of dirt spots, waste of time that was - i wont be getting a mitt until next week. is it normal for it to leave dirt spots on the car even after rinsing?

Pressure washer won't get everything off, nor will snow foam, you need 2 buckets method for that, and may need a clay bar for some spots, or even tar remover, all depending what the dirt is.

ok thanks for your help ordering some products tonight.

You still need to wash the car. Think I've used my snow foam twice since having it, waste of money really.
