Sealing is all well and good, but the swirls will show after a month, thats my experience with SRP, this is due to the fillers wearing out.

If you use a filler heavy product like SRP or AF Triple (which are more of a glaze than a sealant IMO) then you must use a wax or a sealant on top of them to give any longevity.

Obviously in an ideal world we'd attack all swirls with a rotary to completely remove any defects but the reality is that after 3 or four times you're gonna be running low on clearcoat to correct. That is why we uses glazes and fillers ;)

I hoovered out the car today.

Really need to get some adaptors to get down the side of the seats properly.
Or just a new hoover to use on the car, I do not like using the Dyson so use a spare, but it is on it's last legs.

I need to get some autosol.

Devine wind do you recommend any other of the Californian scents?

I like magic tree black ice, but do not like anything hanging! so will give these a try.
I used to put them in the magic tree in front of thr cubby in front of the gear stick, but in the heat one stuck there in my last car!

Just took a delivery
4x cherry
1x pineapple
1x golden state

Golden state seems fairly erm "quiet" LOL for a California scents one.
But oooh the pineapple smells just like pineapple cubes!!! This one might be a little strong to start with haha

Yes I agree and IMO, if you were to use 105 for instance for cutting 99% defects out of a car including and RDS several times I'd be very wary of strike through... Yes I may be being a little conservative here but it aint worth risking it :)

What clay do people go with? I've brought a autoglym kit which has got me off and running but one more car and I will be needing more. I will be using it on cars that are less than 4 years old with fairly decent paint.

Also, whats the thoughts on IronX? I have no idea if my car or my new car is/will be iron contaminated but things I read say its an important step even with a new car.

I use DoDo Juice clay bars, they are very soft and easy to work with, I don't like hard clays because they feel like they are more likely to damage paint.

As for Iron X, I swear by the stuff, it's fantastic for cleaning wheels and calipers, however it is offensively expensive if you use it a lot like I do :p

theres absolutley no chance that an amateur is going to evenly remove only 1 micron of clear when removing swirls and imo there is just as less a chance of there being 100 microns of clear coat

I ended up with:
Cherry
Golden State
Newport Newcar
Coconut

Trying the coconut, I did not follow instructions and could not really smell it.
So I started rotating them using a tissue. Just as I was doing it partner had to stamp on the brakes.

Nearly faceplanted the dash as I was sat forward a bit, and two bits shot on the floor other om my shirt. Needless to say my shirt needed a wash!

However it smells much stronger. They all smell nice! (especially cherry)

Decided to clay, polish and wax today.

Used Autoglym Clay, Super Resin Polish, Poorboy's Black Hole and Victoria Red Concours Wax.

Need a couple more coats tomorrow and will take some proper pics then (with tyre shine also), but here are a few teasers.

Lol what gittish parking :p

I have my Auto Finesse Tripple and C2V3 arrive today. Going to attack it tomorrow weather pending.

Yep the wheels are going in for a touch up soon and calipers painted.

Let me know how you get on with the Tripple, might give that a go on the Scooby.

As for the parking, you can't park anywhere in the Wharf, it was there for 2 mins
