it was my first time using a ceramic coating so was nervous. I did the spoiler first small area and then timed as instructed. Once I had done this I honestly found it a breeze to apply and cracked on with the rest of the car. Took a few hours panel by panel and did 3 coats in total. I moved the car into the garage to do it and then it stayed in there over night.

I would recommend the gyeon to anyone who can follow instructions and isn't cack handed lol. Preparation is the key though. Car was fully 2 stage polished weekend prior and then waxed whilst I used it for the week. Then weekend just gone I cleaned and polished again to remove the wax then wiped down with IPA and also the gyeon prep.

be even easier in a double garage then :) I've just about enough room to park car in there and then walk round it fully. Once the gyeon is on they say to leave for 24 hours then apply gyeon cure. then keep it dry for another 2-3 days. I only managed to keep it dry a day. cure was applied sunday around 3pm and then it was wet Monday morning going to work.

I'm starting to fancy a ceramic coating. The carbon collective one seems a breeze to apply but want to find the time to single stage it prior.

My new car after lots of hours polishing with a DA and then coating with gyeon MOHS :)

Emm one fwee fiiiveeee. Banging!

Looking very nice, Estoril Blue is a cracking colour. Works even better with coral leather. Miss the pace and sound from that engine!

Picked up a cheeky new daily hack today. The paintwork is ridiculous for a 10yr old, 2 owner car. This was after a sprinkle from the hose and a coat of Sonax BSD for the long drive back to Abz. Loving it so far!

Got up this morning and its covered in dust and tiny white specs that are a PITA to come off...

Am I better with coloured wax?

Decided to try a few new items from CYC. Also needed to replace the lambswool mitt as it no longer remained plush. This smoothie got great reviews, so went for it, along with washing machine detergent for MF cloths. Now I no longer need to handwash them which is a pain in the backside, especially the wooly mammoth!

Ridiculous price for car cleaning materials though, no wonder the average person CBA with cleaning their cars themselves :p

You'll need two buckets for starters one for rinsing your mitt and the other with soap for dipping mitt into. Talking of soap bilt hamber auto wash or autoglym bodywork shampoo is a good place to start. None of that wash and wax stop which you don't wanna use on your windscreen (oops)

Get a good microfibre or lambswool mitt I picked one up from halfords for around £7 way cheaper than some others and probably just as good.

Gtechniq c5 for your wheels as again from experience you don't wanna be faffing around with a wheel cleaner so apply this sealant and you can wash wheels with normal car shampoo. Use a separate mitt or wheel brush.

Drying towel I need to get one myself so someone can probably recommend one but again plenty of options :)

And the Final thing you should be doing is applying wax, which I've not done and using sonax bsd instead but it can be used to top up a proper wax as well :)

Ideally you want a tar remover, fallout remover and clay mitt as well for proper paint decontamination. Especially considering it's your first pop but good news is you'll only need to use these whenever you're applying wax again so probably every 6 months or so :)

Good luck and unfortunately there's still more you might need to buy ;)

Might need to get my hands on that snow foam and lance soon.. ( this would be what you call pre-wash/pre-rinse before you actually start washing!)

Autoglym or bilt hamber, personally I go for the autoglym its on offer all the time so dont really care about overdoing it.

I generally use the Dodo Juice Born to be Mild, but the Meguiars is good too as memtioned above.
