So my eldest projectile vomited all over the back of my new car.

Have just purchased some Auto Finesse interior cleaners, a Bissell steamshot and a Nilfisk Buddy. Hopefully it will all arrive by Tuesday and I can get the carpets and seat rails properly clean.

My regular detailer is unlikely to have time this week, and I suspect this will be cheaper and at least I now have a steam cleaner and dry/wet vac for the car.

Make your eldest clean it up :D

Seems you have all bases covered when it comes to deep cleaning it although if you feel there is any odours left over perhaps try one of the Odour Bombs? Turtle Wax do one which I found strong and long lasting for only £3/4 from ECP and it’s meant to remove odours rather than just mask them.

It's the first time he's really ever thrown up. Not bad for 6 1/2 :D
The little one has spewed over himself a few times on long journeys, but this was full-on projectile :(

Good call with the odour bomb, thanks. I've done it in the past when bought second-hand smoker cars but it didn't occur to me. I'll miss the new car smell. Chlorine doesn't have quite the same scent :p

I used fallout remover for the first time and didn't wear any nitrile gloves, my hands stink of rotten eggs now!

"I love the smell of Korrosol in the morning"

In all seriousness, when I first used it I obviously didn't quite rinse it all away as I could smell it for a couple of days after.

I’m using a combined fallout remover and wheel cleaner (Gyeon Q2M Iron) and it works wonders, saves me having to do both separately. Still stinks to high heaven though.

I prefer it over Korrosol now.

Spent a few hours yesterday wheel cleaning, they were definitely in need of some loving.

They came up pretty well considering I think. Plenty of wheel cleaner and fallout remover.

Then coated them in C5 to hopefully help keep them cleaner in future.

I’m getting somewiper judder. Only at the very start of the stroke the large wiper seems to stick, then quickly goes back to normal.

These are Bosch Aerotwins only been on for a month, replacing old Bosch Aerotwins which I never had a problem with.

I hand wiped the wipers, then tried Rain X incase it was dirty, this helped a tiny bit but not really.

Tried AG glass polish to clean up the screen perfect. Then used megs quick detailer to finish.

Doesn’t seem perfect still.

If you operate the wipers at max speed they don’t stick at all.

If you spray screen wash then it doesn’t do it.

The judder doesn’t seem to correlate that much with the amount of water on the screen, driving faster helped a little (comparing 30-70).

Anything else to try?

I recently bought some Bosch Aerotwins and they said something about "improved rubber formula" or something on the box (which the old box doesn't) - I've not used them yet as they were to replace my spares which were getting low. Possibly they've "upgraded" them with a cheaper substitute which is supposedly better but in reality isn't as has happened to so many things lately...

Can you point me to a Windscreen coating please?

I’ve not used a windscreen coating as such, but do clean the glass with Rainx glass cleaner. I found it highly effective and very easy/simple to apply.

Water properly beads up and as long as you driving fast enough it will just beads off - also find it helps the water clear quicker using the wipers. High recommend trying it.
