I need to re-stock a few bits, what are the favourites for:

* Glass? I have a Glaco SOFT99 but I guess this is just the abrasive to then apply some protection. I need a
- Cleaner
- Hydrophobic Sealant?

* Polish? I have used SRP and then Ultra Deep Shine (UDS). UDS gets super dusty and is really hard work when it is warm.

* Shampoo? I have typically used AG Shampoo.

If you have the Soft99 Glass compound all you need is the Ultra Glaco, job done. I haven't seen anything beat this combo yet.

Polish - Rupes Uno

Shampoo - BH Autowash, with Atom to protect from rust if you have ocd like me

Out of curiosity, how do these glass coatings perform on knackered glass? My windscreen is peppered with tiny scratches and chips, I had a 3mm chip and crack repaired last year and noticed it's got... A lot of tiny ones. And after a year of owning this car I've found the glass is never that transparent and wipers never work well. Just generally a bit crap at night.

No rinse wash = this?

Came across a couple of Soft99 products heavily discounted on EuroCarParts that I have wanted to try.

Soft 99 - King of Gloss (300g Synthetic Paste Wax) for £12.49 down from £25

I’ve wanted to try the above for a while as it’s meant to have a considerable darkening effect to the paint.

Soft99 Fukupika Strong Type Quick Detailer £5.49 down from £12

I imagine this product is intended to work well over their wax product range, it contains “Blended Fluorine Resin” so my bet is it will be extremely hydrophobic topping up the durability of the existing protection.

I already have the Dark Version of this product but thought worth mentioning.

Soft99 Water Block Super Splash Wax Light 300g £9.89 down from £20

I believe this goes on and buff’s off easily when not over applied and is the most water repellent in their range but does not have the best durability. Mainly for those who want the biggest beads :D

Autobrite Citrus Wash

Can buy it in a 500ml/1l spray bottle, which I had figured would be good to go as a spray but seemingly it should be diluted by around 50 to 1 for use as a general pre-wash?

Do people decant to another bottle to dilute or just use it neat?

I usually add Citrus Wash diluted into a pump sprayer for application.

Large copy and paste but Autobrite’s suggested dilution ratio’s below.

50-1 General Pre-Wash - This is our general recommendation on the day to day cleaning of your car, at this dilution Citrus Wash will remove dirt, grime, light traffic film, bug splatter, moss & mildew build-up, etc

A 30-1 Heavy Pre-Wash - At this dilution, this dilution is recommended for heavy road traffic film, heavy bug splatter, extreme winter salt, embedded tree sap, heavy dirt, mud splatter, and heavy grime.

10-1 Degreasing - This is the strongest dilution we recommend for our Citrus Wash. This is ideal for engine bays that contain heavy dirt, grime, and light grease and oil (for heavy oil look at our Demon) inner arches, suspension components, door shuts, extreme grime, dirt, and traffic film.

Seems a bit odd selling it neat in spray bottles is all, as if it's 'ready to go' but actually you'll need to pour a load of it into another container first :p

Must admit I usually eye ball it depending on how filthy the car is.

The key is rinsing with good pressure afterwards with these products to really get the most out of them.

Must agree as I once used Citrus from a 500ml bottle on some bird poop and when it rained I had a patch where the protection was none existent which is when I referred to the label  Ahhh dilution!

Nah it’s called concentrate. Imagine shipping all that around. Much better to add water at point of use.

I’ve got a 5L tub with pump dispenser.

The 500ml versions are mis-leading as they come bottled with a sprayer attached.

But I know most would know that particular product is meant to be diluted.

I need a dispenser since I use a funnel with my 5L Containers and still make a mess/waste product.

Great for lots of jobs, cleaning windows/glass it is really good. Everyone should have this in their arsenal!

Guess i'll just replace my morning coffee tomorrow with necking a big bottle of Pepsi so i've got something to pour most of the Citrus Wash into :D

Get a new windscreen in that case specially if its in the drivers swiping side.

This is the most known option, recently and for quite some time, it was nigh impossible to get hold of but think stock levels are back now? Optimum No Rinse is the one people are recommending for glass, there's a guy who runs Obsidian detailing who swears by this method and says ONR has worked best for him vs other rinseless. He hasn't tried McKee's 37 N-914 though, which is another well rated rinseless.

Feynlab Pure Rinseless is known for being one of the strongest rinseless cleaners, but the guy from Obsidian said it didn't work as well as glass like ONR as it left stuff behind.

Gave her a quick jail style shower yesterday. No faffing...

Used the 4x hence car didn't fit in frame ha. You get the idea.

Ceramic coatings done, Gteqnic CSL with Exo v4 on top. Just had it all checked over again.

Looks immaculate. Couple of annoying chips on the spoiler that have obviously been touched up at some point, but you can’t see them unless you’re as ocd as me.

Wheels had a coating of carbon ceramics as well, can’t remember what he used on the glass.
