WOW
i went there for the first time to watch my brothers band play. and i was amazed !

as soon as i walked in you can almost hear the lyrics of the beatles echoing around the brick walls. truly an amazing place to be.
anyone else been there and felt the same ?

also it just doesnt seem as if anythigns been changed since. obviously uive not been there before but as far as i can fell it was just tyhe same as back in the day ... or has it drasticaly changed?

I went there for the Mathew Street Festival last year, and it was unbelievably mint, and you're right, you can feel the music coming out of the walls  The bands playing that day were awesome, and just added to the general wow of the place.

:)

It's been a while since I've been to the cavern, but I used to spend nearly every Saturday in there when I was at uni.

It's a great place to go :)

It has changed since the day. The original Cavern was not on that site it was further over (I can't remember where on Mathew Street and I can't remember where I got my information, parents I think)

It was rebuilt using the original bricks, but I bet the atmosohere was just as good if not better. :D

only this city could knock down the original and then just leave an empty space where it used to be.The atmosphere is pretty much the same as the original, though it is a little cleaner and cooler. The original Caven was just opposite The Grapes pub

i didnt know that !
to be honest im not much of a beatles fan( its a shame but im just not from that era)... but that simply didnt matter
i thoguth the place would be a bit more exclusive... dinty expect to be able to walk in off the street !. suppose it would be anopther place ruined if they turned it into some kind of museum though. keep music live !

yep, it's a car park now!! They rebuilt it with the original bricks I believe though. Great atmosphere, though it does get a little warm in there!

in the original, the roof would be soaking wet with sweat and condensation which would drip into your drinks :(
