The Christmas 2011 "Who's ill?" thread

Two years running now I've been ill on crimbo day. Last year was just a cold, but this year I've had proper man flu for the last 4 weeks or so, never really coming to anything and not going away either. Strange, as I'm normally not ill, period, have never had a day off ill, and never take medicine!

Now, I'm pholocodined up, paracetomol'd up, with a twist of Corsodyl for the humungous ulcers littering the back of my throat!

I'm sure my turkey will just taste of medicine tomorrow anyway!

Last year I had swine flu....was very very sick. This year I am as fit as a fiddle...yippee!

I've got a fluey, coughy, chest infection thingy going on since the first week of December.

battled through work with it all month and on Friday when we broke up for Christmas I came home and got into bed.. I've been here since then.
Presents remain unwrapped in my living room and I'm going to fester here as long as I am able to.

2 years running for me too, although I feel somewhat better than I did last year. That was the pits

I got rid of man flu last week.

I just haven't been able to get off of toilet all night. Reason why I am awake now. I necked at least 20 jäger bombs last night and now paying for it.

Oh man, I'm glad it's not just me! Last year I had manflu, I think year before I was ill as well. Got a cold this year and hoping I recover a bit for tomorrow. Gets annoying, my mates thinking I'm just being a christmas recluse!

Same here,plus a tickly cough that will not go away,plus my daughter is at the local hospital with my poorly 7 month old granddaughter,a number of reasons why i cannot settle.
Got to be up early too,i cook dinner every Xmas without fail,still,Merry Christmas all.

I'm ill.

2 days ago woke up with the worst ever sore throat, my ears and nose are all bunged up. I've just gone through one whole packet of Lemsip Cold+Flu tablets and now I have the most irritating cough. So dinner tomorrow (today) will be pretty tasteless...
