I just had a game, and thought it was great fun.
Sure, I played through 3 times, and that was quite enough, but it was fun for a bit.
So long as this doesn't come out at full price, then I'd be tempted to get it.
I found the controls a bit cumbersome, but that could be down to the fact I've been playing quite a few FPS on the PC over the past month, and got used to the speed of the mouse again. It just seemed to take an age to get the guy to spin around!
But, good fun regardless. Nothing deep, just an out and out arcade game.
Is this due for retail release, or just PSN?
Phew, ok, just checked on the rainforest site.
I see it there for XBOX and PS3 for the full £40.
Won't be getting this either then.
Hmmm, I see there's a PC version listed too, which is cheaper, and would be easier to control, and I should imagine, have better graphics.
Speaking of which, has the XBOX360 got a demo already? Just wondering how the two compared, graphically?
I'll have another go later, see if there's an option to speed up the turning speed, if so, it'll suit me a lot better... that was a real downside to me, running up the stairs, people are shooting you, and you have to wait to turn around. Hmmm, as I said, maybe I've just got too used to playing Timeshift/Crysis/COD4/UT3/GOW on the PC recently, and have got unused to a controller.
Still, seems like a good fun game, albeit in short bursts.
It really should be cheaper though, unless the other levels will be a lot more inspired, more like UT3 (I don't mean Sci-Fi, just well laid out, interesting, and fun)
V1N.
