The coming tide

Got it to 2.8 by upping the FSB to 320 on the G33, seems ok but I might be worth either reseating the cooler, adding somehow an intake fan or going water  which I'd just need a cpu block for as I have an old waterchill unused kit kicking about in the loft.

Haven't tried any crunching on it yet, as I'd rather get it setup sweet first then set and forget :D

Are all 3 running Linux SMP?
I'm more like Pluto - taking a long time to complete an orbit.

Nope, all running WinSMP :)

One on XP, one on W2K3 and one on Vista64 (The AMD)

Might have to consider selling the shuttle tho :P

Not sure but it never does much more than that no matter what its running. It only has half the cache of the C2D tho.

Well my PPD is going to drop through the floor today, the motherboard upgrade on the mATX didn't go too well and I had to pull the CPU out from my c2d to update the bios in the bloomin Asus so it would even recognise the Q6600 correctly, so the only thing crunching is my AMD :(

And nowt will be done about it till tonight.

Back up and running this morning. Hopefully its still running when I get home. It should be ok the web server in one of the vmware images has been up all day, well appears to have been :) It could have rebooted.

Clocked the Q6600 down to 3.0Ghz as and needs less volts and is much cooler like that in these summer months. Shouldn't affect output too much, running faster memory should make up the difference I hope. :D

Well got a Sugo E6320 silent system to build tonight, might let it crunch a few WU's for me before I have to deliver it on Sunday, just to make up for the outage you know.
