It's on ITV4 at 9pm on the 24th July.

I thought the first series was ok but most of the boxers seemed to be religious and half of the program was taken up with talk about how much family and god meant to them. I would've rather watched them train, sparring and/or talking to legendary trainers and boxers. At least they've dropped the pointless challenges for the new series.

I loved the first series. I'll no doubt be watching this tonight instead of BB on C4.

Does anyone know if anyone from the first series actually turned pro and how they are doing? I always thought the short, mexican fighter would do well as a pro.

Yeah Alfonso Gomez was a good boxer.....Since the first series the programme has swapped hands from NBC to ESPN and since then ESPN has held quite a few "Contender" fights and rematches but other than fighting amoung themselves i haven't seen much else......

AFAIK Gomez, Manfredo, Ishe Smith, Sergio Mora etc etc are all Pro's anyway....ESPN has pulled in some of it's highest viewing ratings with these fights, so thats probably why they still fight each other :D

Amatuers can't fight with out a head guard, or do more than a 4 round, 2 minute fight... ;) they are all pros.

It was hard to judge any of them because they cut footage of the rounds together like an action movie... they slowed it down.. .replayed things we'd already seen from different camera angles...

It'll interesting to see if they do it this time round... I hope no one spoils the suprise (/sarcasm ;))

Don't know if any one has been following the news about the production, but Stallone isn't presenting this time round, only producing it. Not found out why, probably too busy with Rocky. I read it on a news site when it was still in production.

this was the one thing i hated about it they edited it to who they wanted to look stronger in the fight, obviously you found out who was stronger with the end result. i think they should show the whole fight

the first series was the bomb!

the music they played when the fights were happening was brilliant, dont suppose any1 no's the name of it do they?

also it doesn't look like stallones in it, hes prob filming rocky and that, but i really liked him and sugar together in the first series, every fight was just like a rocky fight a was screaming at the tv for them to keep going , god it was good tv!

better then real boxing lol.

really looking forward to this. Ienjoyed the first season a lot. From what I have heard, it is more fight orientated as opposed to the challenges.

Every fight was edited to look like a Rocky fight... ;) See those 20 unasnwered punches? well its usually more like 4... just cut and repeated at different speeds and angles... ;)

Stallone isn't in it, he produced it but I suspect he was to busy with Rocky... Serio Mora is at ringside with Sugar Ray... can't stand him... the world's least charasmatic boxer...

Wow you box and read books? join the club... almost as bad as Anthone 'I love me kids, its time to cry... even though every other fighter had kids' Bosante (aka number one dad :p)

oh and the music was composed by Han Zimmer... well, at least the main theme was... not sure about the rest. They played the theme tune for my ring wlak music once... I thought it was going to be the kiss off death... :D its like having eye of the tiger blasting when you walk to the ring... expect a beating :p

Me too.....Even after starting a thread about it as well.......A lady friend came to visit and i forgot all about it! :o

Repeat for me too it seems :D

Excellent first show last night. Good to see the loudmouth beaten to a pulp. The one who won last night (K9) looks to have a decent punch but kept getting caught with a left from the other guy.

Did i hear right that there's an ex-world champion in this years line up?
