I'm still watching it. Its one of the few shows on that i just cannot miss. :)

Close fight last night. On the edited highlights we got, i thought the other guy had won it. The winner is unlikely to win the whole series outright.

I wonder what happens next week? SRL said something about 'a fight that shocked everyone' about next weeks show. I wonder what happens? :confused:
 
The cutting is even worse this time round, they don't even try and disguise it... the lighting or exposure what ever changes when they do the stupid close ups and every time the camera changes they fighters have teleported across the wrong and changed the position they were in....

Awful.
 
yeah, he went to slip and they clashed heads... if they hadn't slowed it down, played dramatic music and cut to Sugar Ray looking shocked and the guy who got cut's family saying it was a head butt you probably wouldn't think it was either ;)

The other guy came off nearly as baddly, had a hug egg on his head ready to burst and cut at any moment.

They manipulate the audience, it's hardly reality TV, each round is cut with a clear winner so that there are no controversys in desicions, but I guarantee you that in a close fight, the poster boy will get it ;)
 
I thought last nights fight was a bit disappointing. Maybe i was expecting too much after it was built up as 'tonight's fight shocked everyone but for the wrong reasons'.

The 2 boxers last night looked so small compared to someone like K9.

i agree, although they both fought well and i thought it was a good come back, still was entertaining though

It was entertaining but the way the program was built up, i expected something spectacular to have happened.

Maybe Ebo being taken to hospital for a scan after the fight was the shocking thing. I'm sure i heard the doctor saying something to him about a slight 'haemorrhage'.
 
what u guys on about it was shocking!

ebo absolutly destroyed stewart, and i thought he looked one of the best fighters, in and out not taking hits at all instead of the brawling style of many of the others.

then the shocking bit happened and he got flattened! that was shocking cause it was totally against the run of the fight, really wish ebo had gone through, cause stewart was lazy he just stood there and hardly fought at all.
 
I doubt it was actually as one sided as they made out, they are very good at manipulating the footage of the fight for maximum Hollywoodness :p
 
probably not as u say, but i really like the way its done. every fight is like a mini soap opera, am always shouting and cheering during the fights, and ok some of the punches prob aren't as good as they look with the slow mo and that but they do look lik really good shots lol

Agreed, he won't last the later rounds, so far no one has stood out as a good fighter bar Walter and I can't stand him (he represents just about everything I hate about boxing at the moment). The only fighter I like is Cornelius.

It's very poor in comparison to the original.
 
No doubt there are some good shots landed etc... what I am talking about is the producer's tendancy to take one combination and play it from different angles and speeds and makes it look like loads of different shots... ;)
 
Been watching this the past couple of weeks and i have to say at the moment it looks like Forbes is the strongest of the bunch so far..if anything i think he will win it unless he has a bad fight in the next round. But still reckon he will take the contender title, quite an awesome fighter..paces himself very well and lets the other boxer come to him...making all the punches therefore out punching himself.

Another dark horse could be K9, had an awesome fight with Walter, whos an arrogant SOB if you ask me and i couldnt have been more pleased when he lost to K9. The fact that hes a sore loser just says it all, at least K9 was humble in his victory and gave Walter quite a bit of respect whereas Walter couldnt even do that...shows what an arrogant ****** he is. But i like K9, hes not a pretty boxer but gets the job done and is more of a brawler rather than a boxer....didnt really like the grabbing and holding he was doing against Walter but he got away with it and won the fight easily enough.

At the moment i think its a 2 horse race between K9 and Forbes to take the contender title, i dont think any of the other boxers can come close to these 2.
 
i reckon forbes will win it as well, although he didn't have such a good fight in last match and only just pulled it out in the last round.

a think it will be forbes - bravo in the final, with forbes destroying bravo.

then i wanna see forbes vs mora (winner of the 1st contender)

Theres one on ITV1 now. Think its the K9 V Walter fight from Monday. Do ITV1 always repeat Mondays on a Wednesday night? I've been staying up till 1.30am on Sunday to watch Mondays show on ITV4. :o
