The Continental

It's scary just how much the lad they've got playing Winston looks like a young Ian McShane.

I had to to do a search to see if they'd used de-aging.

On Prime as of today.

I liked it , very John Wick close pistol / punchy combat, the main heroes are of course able to miss full auto machine gun blasts, bit slow in the middle with some world building.

Albert Hughes directing, will give any Hughes bros ( this isnt the bros ) a go since Menace to Society and mostly Dead Presidents despite any flaws.

Reviews are super mixed, a lot seem annoyed that Ol'Sugar **** is involved, which is a bit silly, although he's fairly bog standard late stage old Mel Gibson villian, exactly the same as Boss Level etc.

Looking forward to the next episode

I watched it, thought it was pretty good. I thought the 70s aesthetic was pretty well done. I did find it funny then the female detective smeared poop all on the guys windscreen. It did look to me like that was the guy that has been in loads of stuff and recently an episode of Ahsoka. Think he was a doctor in House and was in Fear the Walking Dead.

Seemed to be trying a bit to hard to me, too many wisecracks, lots of stuff obviously influenced by or tributes to GTA, Sin City, probably Peaky Blinders, etc. and the guns quote was a bit much.

Though mostly I enjoyed it to be fair.
