I think it's auto ban for anything over 30mph OVER the alloted speed limit. I used to think that 100mph was auto ban, it's because it's 30mph over the 70mph NOT because it's actually 100MPH... therefore, it could be auto ban if you do 60mph in a 30, 70mph in a 40 etc etc... but I may be wrong, not really read up on it...
Well, 10 days later and still not got anything... I think we were lucky and this "Mr Plod" was sound... hope so, as this could scupper buying an M5 lol... last thing I need is points and bans now... lol... does make me think a little more when on the bike now...
problem is, it's all too easy as said before... really easy to hit big speeds and not really realise it... hey ho, tough... it's our responsability I suppose... learn to realise...
