anyone seen it? any views on it? know a release date for europe?

as far as i know its a 2007WFP minus all the fancy ports... so basically striped down to the VGA and DVI ports...

It's not the same IPS/PVA panel, it's a TN.

hmm its out here in north america I think. I'm considering buying it or the 2007WFP which also happens to be 170 dollars canadian more, is the 2007WFP worth the extra money? (exuse the attempted thread hijack)

Depends how much 170 canadian dollars is. If it's about £50-60 then I'd say pay the extra for the 2007WFP because it's a higher quality 24-bit panel with excellent viewing angles and it has the extra connectivity.
