The Dentist

Had a tooth pulled last week. Dentist snapped it and the apex and the root were left in my gum. Tooth was being pulled after a filling fell out and an infection took hold. Antibiotics haven't done the job so i need to go back and have it done again.

At least my foot takes my mind of the swelling in my gums. :(

I had to have an operation in hospital once where I had my upper left canine embedded in my pallette at the top of my mouth. 3 Hour operation involved scraping the bone and flesh off the front of the tooth and fixing a hook to it. Also had 4 teeth out at the same time for the privilege.

Next few months involved a brace and dragging the tooth through my pallette into my gum using ever shorter lengths of elastic band.

Now that's pain ! :(

Bloody dentists!

I've taken a day off work today for a check up, I need to go back on the 27th for a "scale & polish" WTF? - why in hell can't I have it done today then?

Gits!

Nuke 'em from orbit imo.

Rant over! :p

I moved here about 2 years ago but never got round to registering with a dentist until I had some broken fillings.

It took me 2 months to get an appointment - then it was just a check up.
I need 4 fillings repaired and 2 new ones as well as a scale and a polish (along with serious gum cleaning for gum disease - which needs to be repeated every 3 months) so I have another appointment for tomorrow (1 month after the 1st appointment).
Tomorrow's appointment however, is only for x-rays and "dental profiling". The scale and polishing and fillings will only start on the following appointment (probably another month away).
After all that is done, I need to get a partial denture to replace my 2 front teeth (my last one is crap and doesn't fit any more :( ).

It's going to take a bloody year to finish it all that at the rate they're going

Stan :)

As long as you time it right she wont get pregnant. :D

I used to have a well fit Dentist, wish it was me giving her the filling instead of the other way round. :D

i had 2 new fillings and a renew of an old one earlier this year, didnt feel a thing apart from the needle jabbing around my mouth and she drilled so far into one of my teeth she had to put some permanent padding or something in there  i couldnt move one side of my face for a week, lol

the pink water is the worst thing about a dentist, especially when they numb your mouth and you cant feel a thing and dribble it all down you without realising, lol
