The Dentist

For christ sake man, Dentists are professionals, they're not out to hurt you. Getting teeth out is not sore in the slightest, you wont feel a thing.

I beg to differ. ;)

About a year ago I had all my teeth removed (my gums were being replaced with a titanium alloy) and put back in, it took 10 minutes and I could eat a stake within the hour.

Surely there is no way in hell that they could get ALL your teeth out in 10 mins. That would be nigh on impossible without doing some severe damage to other parts of your mouth. Also, why were they replacing your gums with titanium?

Erm, can you give us more info on this enamel coating - if it has genuinely protected your teeth this long then its gotta be worth it and I might get it done to my teeth.

Yes more info on the uber teeth is needed

It is generally done to children when their adult teeth first grow in, but it still isn't commonly done for some reason. One of my school teachers had it done as a kid because her dad was a dentist or something similar, but that's the only person I actually know to have had it.

My dentist gave me a prescription for diazepam to take when I need to get work done. I don't feel anything in the chair, but that's because the stuff affects me really strongly and I almost pass out.
Getting teeth out is not fun. I had one done in the summer and ended up with the blood clot falling out and the nerves exposed to my mouth - extreme pain!

I believe he needs the titanium gums as he is being employed by an international super gangster to help stop a British Secret Service agent interfering.

my dentist is pretty good. had a wisdom tooth out the other day and it took 10mins and didnt feel much. i think i have a pretty high pain tolerance though as most people are in agony with wisdom teeth apparently. i can make myself go into a 'zone' so to speak and things dont hurt. weird i guess but it works for me lol.

Well i got there sat in the chair i had my injections and then i had a panic attack
so after all that i did not have them out what a big girl :(

I`m going to the hospital to have them out instead next week,i`d rather be asleep :rolleyes:I really have a problem with the dentist scares me to death.

8% of all people under a general anaesthetic for dental work suffer some degree of damage to the higher centres of the brain.

(100% of fatiain's medical statistics are made up)

Local - safe, General - not so safe.

Also you can't avoid the dentist forever, you can't go under General for a filling or a quick clean.

I had this enamel coating done too! I was quite young at the time.
None of my brother have had it done and I've never had a filling and they all have :p

Seems to have done a good job, not sure why the usage wasn't very widespread, or if they still do it now? Must have been the mid 90's I had it done.

LMFAO @ Rotty :D

I have had one removed, wasn't that sore. Didn't jag me enough so had to stop and do it again. Only thing I didn't like was the snapping sound when he was breaking the ligament away from the jaw!
