TU4 today, new gunner specialisation and a number of spec changes. Looks like a pretty decent sized update.
Recalibration no longer boosts gear score, instead you have a calibration score based on how 'maxed' the item is. Each item has a set 'max' roll across all the different attributes, recalibration score means you can't exceed the absolute max overall attributes of an item.
Example
Gloves
11% Assault Rifle Damage
5% Marksman damage
You could recalibrate Marksman, but only to around 8% instead of 11% because the max attributes of the item is 19% across the two attributes (example figures). This would result in:
11% Assault rifle damage
8% Marksman damage
As well as a recalibration score of 100, because you can't roll any higher.
However, say you recalibrate the same original Gloves with 7% Marksman damage, your recalibration score would be lower than 100, because the item isn't maxed.
