I'm actually heading the other direction. Might go for the 4070s, I won't go above 1440p, if there is an issue with VRAM I might turn textures down a notch, then in a couple of years see what else is on the market.
 
Are the Passmark benchmarks so different to everyone elses? I've tended to use their site as a quick ref, but their score for the 4070TIS is well above 4080 and nearing 4090, with a ~20% uplift from the 4070TI.

Sure, it's only 2 samples, so I'm guessing these are overclocked samples - but I've not seen a review getting near this with their OC's.

Not sure how this benchmark works but in gaming a 4090 is 60% faster than a 4070ti super.
