Just read a decent article on the Athletic about this. Effectively, it pointed out that Fabinho is our best ball winner, which is key to how we play. With him at the back rather than in midfield, we've won possession back an average of five metres deeper (and often with three lines of the opposition rather than two between us and the other team's goal) which is one of the things affecting how we attack.It releases our other midfielders to advance with cover, and makes us more secure when Trent and Robbo go forward.
