The Emirates FA Cup 3rd Round ** Spoilers ** [10th - 14th January 2025]

Disapointed in an awful Arsenal performance for sure, think its crazy that you all think Man Utd are back though after you clung on all game and completely rode your luck. Like I said, another team with some strength up front would have beaten you at a canter, you were just lucky to meet a very poor Arsenal right now.

We clung on and rode our luck because we were down to 10 men for over half the match away from home.

You forget when it was 11v11 we were 1-0 up and Arsenal had barely even had a shot on target.

You also say it is lucky that we met a poor Arsenal yet discount the fact we are sitting 14th in the league. You couldn't have faced a poorer United team in the last 20 years. ;)

Arteta says he loves his players and is in denial about what they need to win anything. Big night on Wednesday for him against Tottenham especially as they look like they will miss Jesus.
Well played our lads - we showed something and Amorim was very realistic about what he saw today. He won't be getting carried away!

Managers always come out with crap like that, if you offered him an available top class forward he'd bite your hand off. Last summer was a disaster and everyone at the club knows that now. As bad as this week has been, having a massive xG throughout all our games is a bit of hope to cling onto, the luck and form can turn around very easily. Wins against Villa and Spurs and no one will care about the last few days.

I agree with you, we could n't. Like I've said all along that was an awful performance from Arsenal final third, they should have had 3 or 4 but could n't hit a barn door from 2 feet despite having all the possession.

Just finished watching the game recorded as I was out earlier, had to come have a flick through the thread, sorry, couldn't resist :)

Tbf he is pretty awful with the ball, but can't deny his penalty saving!

Yeah hes not a good keeper. Doesn't instil any confidence in you. Made a couple of good penalty saves though which won us the game. A remotely clinical Arsenal would have comfortably won today.

There's quite a difference between "thinking Man Utd are back" and being happy with a hard fought victory. We've had a really rough first half of the season and over the last week there have been some positive signs.

Some introspection is required from certain Arsenal fans. The cold hard reality is that Arteta has built a team and it peaked finishing 2nd, and is now going backwards. His solution is to make the team more boring to watch, but better at things like corners. I think you could very easily argue he's out of ideas... maybe Arsenal buy a decent striker and things are rosy again, but it's often not that simple.

They are the english version Athletico Madrid, just without the top class coach and winning mentality.
