The Emirates FA Cup 4th Round ** Spoilers ** [25th - 29th January 2024]

oh I hate this stupid offside rule.

For what purpose does it serve (re the late flagging etc)
Imagine if he wasn't offside and the lino flags to stop play. They need to give some of these more obvious ones straight away but the principle of the rule is right imo.

Yeh I kind of get you. But that was clear, so to let the play go on is just silly.

*edit* and imo, reckless

A couple of seasons back Villa had a goal vs City wrongly ruled out after the lino flagged early and ever since then they've stopped flagging until the attack is played out, afraid of getting it wrong again.

It hit his hand and setup a goal. Rule is stupid.
While it benefits us I do agree. Seems daft. Gordon scored one earlier in the season maybe against Everton where he actually handballed it and then scored. Goal given.
All people are asking for is consistency yet we have a VAR game in this tie while other ties in the round don’t have it.

Think we just edged that half although they had more chances. I’m watching on paramount which is easily the worst tv app I have ever used for live sport. As if watching Newcastle isn’t frustrating enough at 6am on a Sunday

I have watched the odd game now and again :)

Basically, the implementaion of the rule now, as said, is just silly.
