Good to see De Ligt stepping up. Get's us up the pitch a bit for free.
If only Dalot wasn't so infuriatingly stupid in possession. Some better movement from Rasmus, however I don't really understand where Zirkzee is playing.
 
Slumped into the usual mediocrity after a better start.
Bassey has put Hojlund in his pocket a few times. I've always been quite impressed by him every time he's played against United.
The big problem for us today is a complete lack of pace getting forward. Neither Eriksen or Zirkzee do anything for us and we don't even have a player like McTominay who can get forward from midfield.

Just back from another disappointing half arsed Newcastle United performance, I was expecting a reaction to the Liverpool defeat, but Christ almighty was I wrong. I’m actually starting to contemplate not going to the final, because it will be another capitulation and crumble under pressure, last week Liverpool were like a cat playing with a ball of wool, 2 weeks today will probably be no different

It has been a dire affair so far, a goal should liven things up for the second half at least

Got to get Eriksen off and Garnacho on. So devoid of any threat going forward.
Zirkzee had a couple of decent cameo's but he's back to Newcastle form. I'd sub him at half time also. Honestly, who scouted him and thought he would fit in a ten Hag or any system ? McTominay is better than him.

Turgid, slow, pathetic stuff again from United....

Literally no pace/quick passing/movement/creative etc..... Just players standing around....
